The best covers rarely start with a plan. They start with something you almost walked past. Here are ten objects to point your phone at next time — and the genres they tend to suit in Sleevo.
1. Bathroom tiles
Grids are the backbone of electronic music design. Shoot tiles straight on, fill the frame and let a single cracked tile or stray color break the pattern. In Techno the pattern becomes a repeat grid, a stark minimal layout or a white label; in House it meets flat Bauhaus shapes, four-color grids and halftone.
2. A coffee stain
Organic shapes on paper read as warm and handmade. Shoot in window light, close up, and leave space for the title. LoFi turns it into a photocopy, a scrapbook page or a taped snapshot; Folk into warm film, watercolor or old paper.
3. Parking garage concrete
Harsh fluorescent light, painted numbers, oil marks. Underexpose slightly for mood, then pick Trap for night tones, crushed blacks and heavy grain, or Rap for low-key light and torn-poster textures.
4–10. Keep looking
Old curtains, fruit on a table, a cracked phone screen, laundry on a line, a shadow on the wall, a crumpled receipt, your own hand against the sky. Shoot five of each and let the genre proposals surprise you.
